The responsibilities that we have been tasked with in our careers allow us to recognize the delicate, high-stakes nature of drone surveying, and we operate in full compliance with all federal flight regulations, in order to ensure the safety and security of our clients.
MEET THE OWNERS
Ben Green has over 10,000 hours of flight time, earned over 15 years. He began his career as a private pilot, before becoming an instructor, and then finally a commercial airline pilot. He has worked for Skywest for the last twelve years, was promoted to captain in 2013, and has since excelled in the role of Pilot in Command of the Embraer E-Jet 175. Ben has also flown vintage aircraft, such as the Boeing-Stearman Model 75, B-25 Mitchell, T-6 Texan, and enjoys aerobatic flight.
Steph Green grew up in an aviation household, with a mother and father who were both pilots. She graduated from Sacramento State University with a B.A. in English, and earned an Associate’s in Mortuary Science in 2009. She works in a high pressure environment as a dispatcher for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.
Ben and Steph formed West Coast Drones because, as aviation enthusiasts, they recognized the rapidly increasing demand for drone technology in photography, industrial, surveying, mapping and inspection applications. The company was formed in 2017 in Northern California with two purposes in mind: to utilize drone technology to produce high-quality video, photography, and analytical data at a reasonable cost, and in a safer manner than traditional methods.
